In Forza Horizon 6, buying a house isn't just about having somewhere nice to park your favourite FH6 Cars; it's part of how you build momentum across the Japan map. You start with Mei's House for free, which gives you access to car trading through the Autoshow. After that, the other seven properties ask for credits, Stamp progress, or both. That's where the system gets interesting. You can't just grind a few races, throw money at the biggest mansion, and call it done. The game nudges you through career milestones first, so your housing plan has to match the way you actually play.
How the house perks really workEach property gives you something permanent, and some perks are far more useful than they look at first glance. Yashiki House in Hokubu costs only 10,000 credits and should be picked up early because it opens the Estate Builder system. Minka House, locked behind the Blue Stamp, adds 10% extra credits from Stunt Party events. Fuji Unkai House does the same for Horizon Jobs once you reach the Orange Stamp. These boosts don't feel huge after one race, but after a weekend of events, the difference starts to show. That's the point of houses in FH6: small gains that keep paying you back.
The best buying order for most playersA sensible route starts with Yashiki House, then Minka House once the Blue Stamp is available. From there, Fuji Unkai House is a strong pick if you spend time on Horizon Jobs. Hakusan Mountain Lodge comes next for many players, as it gives a 10% Horizon Life credit bonus and an extra garage slot. Soko 78 is useful later because its 5% Autoshow discount saves money every time you buy. Vision House is more of a late-game investment, with a skill score boost and another garage slot. Tokyo House is expensive at 3,000,000 credits, though VIP players get it free, and the daily Wheelspin can be worth a lot over time.
Why Stamp access changes the usual grindThe Stamp system stops houses from being a simple shopping list. Blue opens Minka House, Pink opens Hakusan Mountain Lodge, Orange opens Fuji Unkai House, Purple opens Soko 78, and Gold opens Vision House. That means your credit balance is only half the story. You'll need to keep moving through events, career tasks, and map activity to reach the next property tier. It's a good change if you like structure, though it can catch you out if you've been saving credits for a house that still isn't available. Check your Stamp progress before planning a big purchase.
Where your credits should go firstIf you're trying to grow fast, don't treat every house as equal. Buy the cheap utility options first, then pick the houses that match your favourite events. Stunt players should aim for Minka House. Job grinders will get more from Fuji Unkai House. Drivers who play a bit of everything should value Hakusan Mountain Lodge. Tokyo House is better when you can afford to wait for Wheelspin rewards to build up. Spend your FH6 Credits with these perks in mind, and the housing system becomes less of a money sink and more of a quiet engine behind your progress.
