In ARC Raiders, progress doesn't really come from lucky finds. It comes from knowing what's worth risking your life for, and ARC Raiders Items are a big part of that conversation once you start chasing better builds. Bastion Cells sit right near the top of the list. If you've been stuck scraping together average gear, you'll feel the difference fast when these start coming in. The catch, of course, is that they're tied to Bastion ARC units, and those things don't go down easily. They hit hard, soak damage, and turn a quiet run into a full-on public event the second the fight starts.
A lot of players mess this up. They drop the Bastion, relax for two seconds, then start rummaging through whatever chunk of wreckage is closest. That's usually the wrong call. You haven't really won anything until you've salvaged the right sections and gotten out alive. The best loot tends to come from the central body, especially the core and the main chassis. Those are the spots worth your time. The small scraps and broken outer plates can wait, if you even touch them at all. If you're solo and you clear the body properly, pulling around seven Bastion Cells isn't unrealistic. In a team, though, that same haul gets divided up, so the safer option can feel a lot less rewarding once the loot screen settles.
What makes Bastion farming rough isn't only the machine itself. It's the noise. By the time you've burned through ammo, used meds, and maybe had to reposition three or four times, everyone nearby already knows something big is happening. That's the part newer players underestimate. They focus so hard on the kill that they forget the map is full of people listening for exactly that kind of chaos. And once the Bastion drops, you're at your most vulnerable. You're sorting loot, checking angles too late, probably not topped off on health. That's when another squad appears and cleans up what you started.
Honestly, plenty of smart players don't bother starting the Bastion fight themselves. They wait. It sounds dirty, but it works. You hear sustained fire, catch the explosions, then move in without announcing yourself. Find elevation if you can. Stay out of sight. Let the other squad spend the ammo and take the risk. Once the Bastion is about to fall, or just after they crack open the good loot zones, that's your moment. A fast push there can be more profitable than a long, expensive fight from the beginning. In this game, efficiency matters more than pride, and no one remembers who did the hard part if you're the one extracting with the cells.
The best Bastion runs usually come down to restraint. Don't overloot. Don't stand in the open admiring the wreck. Hit the core sections, grab what matters, and leave before the whole area turns into a firing line. You'll figure out pretty quickly that farming Bastion Cells is less about raw aim and more about timing, nerves, and knowing when to cut your losses.
